Cyberpunk roguelike deckbuilder. Three weapon classes, nine build paths, 140 cards. Published by Scuffed Publishing.
INDIE GAME DEVELOPMENT · FOUNDED 2016
We make deliberately-weird indie games. Not "AAA but smaller" — games that take real swings and couldn't exist at a bigger studio. Home of AI Apocalypse and future experimental titles.
Words we live by when building games.
If a mechanic would never get greenlit at a big publisher, that's a good sign. We don't chase safe markets — we chase interesting problems.
Perfection is the enemy of shipped. Early Access is a conversation with players, not a quality excuse. Patch fast, listen hard.
Indie means the team fits around a dinner table. Every person on the team ships actual mechanics — no dedicated spreadsheet roles.
Our development process, from concept to controller.
Every project starts as a playable throwaway. If the core loop isn't fun in a grey-box prototype, no amount of art direction or progression systems will save it. We test the mechanic, not the pitch deck.
Early Access isn't a marketing strategy — it's how we design. Every major system in AI Apocalypse has been reshaped by community feedback. We push builds weekly, read every bug report, and patch fast.
We'd rather ship a game with three weapon classes that each feel completely different than fifteen that play the same. Every system earns its place by creating meaningful decisions, not checkbox features.
Beyond AI Apocalypse, we have multiple projects in various stages of development. HexFall is a post-apocalyptic hex 4X strategy game inspired by Polytopia. AI Tycoon is an idle/tycoon hybrid about building an AI company from garage to world-shaping enterprise. And Our Last Hope — the original title Scuffed Publishing was founded to ship — is still in the works. Full details on the games page.
